ISHSA Awards Program


ISHSA members are eligible to compete for year-end and annual awards. Points are awarded for performance, participation and achievement and accumulated through the year.

Year-end awards are offered for each ISHSA approved class that is offered under a minimum of 5 judges during the show year. ISHSA publishes an approved class list in the rule book, or you can click here to download the list in .pdf format.

Additional Year-end awards may also be sponsored by individuals and organizations on an annual basis. These award celebrate versatility, sportsmanship and over-all improvement during the show season.

ISHSA is pleased to offer several new award categories in 2008. These include a Beginner Award for first and second year showman, Versatility Awards for eight separate breeds, the Year End Buckle Challenge with high point buckles and reserve jackets in 17 divisions, and the Team Competition . This is in addition to recognizing the top 6 qualifiers in every approved class on the ISHSA roster.

During the show season member organizations are encouraged to offer high point awards for individual shows or progressive high point awards for a show series. These awards will be listed on the show bill, and questions about these awards should be addressed to the sponsoring organization.

Current Point Standing

Thoughout the season the point standing for the individual classes are calculated and published to keep members informed of their progress.
